[VIDEO] Driving Change: The Data Behind Our Digital Society14 min read
In all honesty, the term ‘digital’ has been overused and over marketed for years now. With that being said, we can’t deny the change it’s had on the world, and more specifically, our industry. Modernization and digital initiatives have been key drivers for change in data centers, and it’s only going to accelerate. Whether it’s to improve processes or operational efficiency, to gain better visibility or reduce complexity, or to simply get closer to customers, digital transformation initiatives are driving change in our industry. And not to sound too hyperbolic, but those businesses who resist this change and don’t have a plan around modernization, run the risk of fading into obscurity.
Consider this quote by Lewis Carol:
“Here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place. And if you wish to go anywhere you must run twice as fast as that.”
This quote sums up the impact digital is having on our industry. Whether we call it digital initiatives, modernization, or something else – getting on board and developing a plan around all of this isn’t only about change, but about survival.
